Chilliwack
- Island 22. Island 22 has quite a few
acres of open grassy/treed area that borders along a dyke and the river at the
west end of the park for allowing your dog to run off-leash. Dogs are only
allowed off-leash when horses are not in the area. As this is an equestrian
area, I suggest bringing a leash although the area is very large and you will
be sure to find some open spaces for your dog. Location: Cartmell Road.
Directions:mAs you enter Fairfield Island from downtown Chilliwack you will
notice signs for Island 22 and take a right shortly after and follow the dyke.

Coquitlam

Bramble Park. Coquitlam, BC. Is fully fenced, has double
entry gate, poop bags, water pump for dogs, benches. Location:
Bramble Park - 2775 Panorama Drive. Bramble Park is a fenced off
leash dog area situated just south of Bramble Park under the Hydro
Right of Way, between Panorama Drive and David Avenue. Doggie park
is easily accessible from David Ave, between Noonscreek Drive and
Lansdowne Drive. Lots of gravel parking on the side of David Ave at

Cultus Lake
- Cultus Lake- off leash dog park. Location:
Head up Cultus lake road, towards Cultus Lake. Directly across the road from
the waterslides there is a very large FENCED area where dogs are fully
permitted off leash. If you go to the back of the field, you will also be able
to enjoy an array of trails through the woods. Just watch out around the golf
course, as my dog has retrieved 1 or 2 balls IN PLAY..... oops! Enjoy your
walk! Directions: Head South off hwy #1 on Vedder road, follow Vedder all the
way to Vedder Crossing Bridge, Take first left after bridge (at traffic light)
Head up to Cultus Lake.... park is directly across from the waterslides.

Ellison

Ellison Centennial
Park. Located near Kelowna, in Ellison, off Old Vernon Road, the park
features a huge fenced area for the dogs, and sweeping views for the people.
Facilities: Picnic tables portable toilet. There are several bag dispensers.
The bag dispensers are stocked by regular people, not by the City, so please
bring at least one more bag than you think you'll need and leave it in a
dispenser! There is no drinking water for people, and no water for dogs
unless you or a volunteer brings some. Sometimes there is water in a bucket
in the large off-leash area. If you have extra water, please consider
filling the bucket for the next dog. Directions: From Highway 97 in Kelowna,
turn east onto Old Vernon Rd. Continue past the Scotty Creek subdivision
past the llama farm on your right, until you reach the big old schoolhouse
on the right. Just across the road is the entrance to the park, through a
wrought iron gate that says "Ellison Centennial Park." You are
actually right behind the Kelowna Airport. Either turn left into the
entrance and take the dirt road to the fenced area, or, instead, continue
past the wrought iron gate for 0.3km until you reach the Ellison Firehall on
your left. (Blue wood building with big red doors.) Park in the south end of
the firehall lot between the signs. A red flag on a 10' pole marks a new
gate near the firehall. Follow the hand-made signs from the firehall parking
lot. There is a blue garbage can at the north end of the firehall parking
lot which we can use, in addition to several cans in the fenced off leash
area. Please keep the area tidy, as we are guests in the firehall parking

Langley
- Brookswood Off Leash Park.
Fully fenced, starting to tree. Long grass around the park for dogs to run
through. Water fountain for both people & dogs. Location: 206th Street &
40th Ave. Adjacent to the Back North West Corner of Langley Cemetery. (Thank

- Derby Reach. Fully
fenced and dogs are able to go for a swim in the fraser river lots of space
and there are benches for people to sit at. Location: It is on Allard crest.
which is at the north end of 208th st. Use the Edgewater Bar entrance.

Kelona

Cedar Creek. Mission
area of Kelona. Facilities: Picnic tables (upper and lower levels), portable
toilets, Okanagan Lake, shade (lower level). People in wheelchairs can
navigate the lower level unless it's icy or incredibly muddy. (Park on the
lower level.) There are four bag dispensers, one on top and three on the
beach, and many trash cans. The bag dispensers are stocked by regular
people, not by the City, so please bring at least one more bag than you
think you'll need and leave it in a dispenser! There is no drinking water
for people or dogs, so if you don't want your dog to drink from the lake,
bring water. Notes: Long before this area became a dog park it was a nude
beach...and it still is. You will almost certainly encounter nude sun
bathers on warm and sunny days during the week. Directions: From
Downtown or Hwy 97 in Kelowna, head south on Pandosy St. Pandosy becomes
Lakeshore Road; continue south on Lakeshore. (Okanagan Lake will be on your
right.) You'll pass Anne McClymont school, and continue up the hill to the
flashing light. Turn right to stay on Lakeshore. (If you find yourself on
Chute Lake or Barnaby, you are going the wrong way.)Continue about 3km until
you see St Hubertus Winery on your left. The entrance to the park is on your
right, and just says "Beach Access". You can park here and use the
upper level or walk down to the beach. If you don't like walking up and
down, you can continue past the parking lot to the bottom of the hill and
make a sharp right into the parking area there. You will be right on the

Glenmore. This park is
located in Kelowna, near the Glenmore landfill in a wooded area, which
provides some shade and natural barriers. Facilities: There is no drinking
water for people or dogs, bring water. The bag dispensers are stocked by
regular people, not by the City, so please bring at least one more bag than
you think you'll need and leave it in a dispenser! Directions: Head north
along Glenmore Drive. You'll pass the Glenmore Landfill site on your right,
you're nearly there. Proceed another 300 or 400 m and you will see the
entrance to the park on your left. It is not clearly marked. Follow the dirt
track for about 40 yards leading to a gate, and you can recognize it by the

Nanimo

Bowen Park. Trails near millstone
river, duck pond, water falls, rather wet ground during rainy season. May
not actually be legal off-leash, but all the locals go there. With well
behaved dogs, there should not be a problem. Location: Entrance off Bowen
Road. Parking near baseball field and also past tennis courts. Good signage.

Penticton, British Columbia. Off leash, garbage cans easy access to Skaha
Lake so dogs can swim. Two parks: l. 2miles south of Penticton on East Side

Port Moody Dog Park. Fenced off-leash area. The park is fully fenced, doggy
bags available lit at night water for dogs to drink Location: Murray St. in

Richmond
- MacDonald Beach. beach, water and
trails. Location: Templeton Street - Go towards airport, make a right on
Templeton and go all the way down until sign says MacDonald Beach, turn right

Summerland
- Summerland Dog Beach. Peach Orchard Doggy
Beach! The beach is fenced, but your dog can swim around the fence (in the
water), and end up in the non dog area, so watch your pooch! Open from dawn
until 11pm year round. Sandy beach, rocks once in the water, bring water shoes
and swim with your dog, they'll love you for it!! Location: Peach Orchard
Beach - lower Summerland. Directions: exit Hwy 97 into Lowertown, you'll drive
right by it, just around the corner from the tennis club and Rotary Beach
(it's right between Rotary Beach and Peach Orchard Beach and Water Park.

Surrey
- Dogwood Park. This is a wonderful dog park. It has a
man-made pond with a bridge the dogs can jump off, lots of wooded trails and
big wide open fields for playing ball. Loads of parking too. Newer park, has
fully enclosed fence, walking trails, water fountain for people and dogs as
well as benches. Location: In
White Rock on 20 Ave just off 140 st. Directions: Take King George Hwy south
to Crescent Rd. Follow Crescent Road and turn left at 140th Street. Follow
140th, turn right at 20th Ave. the park is about a 2 minute drive down 20 Ave.
on the right side. Big sign says Dogwood Park and there are 2 entrances along
a chain-link fence. (Thank you Teri Loney)
- Dog Park. Off leash park in residential area.
Location: 84 Ave at approx 154 St. Directions: Park is on 84 Ave between 152
and 156 Streets. (Thank you Teri Loney)
- Serpentine Off Leash Park. Large fenced-in
open area with some bushes, a paved trail and covered area with a bench.
Washroom on site for human visitors. Gets pretty muddy in the winter. There
is usually a large variety of dogs. Lots of room for dogs to run. Location:
76th Avenue west of 128th street (under the power lines). Directions: From
King George Hwy, turn west on 76th Avenue, drive past 128th Street and turn
right on a small street as you reach the power lines. (Thank you Bethany

Ambleside.
Beach & Park. Location: South end of 13th Street, off Marine Dr. Directions:
From Lions Gate Bridge, follow Marine Drive west for approx 1.5km, turn left
onto 13th Street, follow to end. One in park, follow signs to the "dog
walk." The eastern half of the park is ball fields and a people beach,
strictly enforced no dogs. The west end of the park has a paved path, two
large fields, and a beautiful sand beach that is all off-leash! Usually very
crowded on weekends and summer evenings. A great park for dogs and their
human companions. Also a great place to watch the sun set over Vancouver
