Nebraska
Beatrice
- Beatrice Pet Park. Two separate park areas.
One small, the other a little larger, separated by fence. Both areas fully
fenced with double gates and poop bags at the entrance. Both little parks have
picnic tables and a few large trees. Just a small little park, but the shock
is that it is the only place in all of Nebraska that we know of to take your
dog off the leash! A cute little spot. Nothing amazing, but the spirit of the
place was in the right place. Quite professionally put together. Location:
Highway 77. Directions: On Highway 77, south of Lincoln, is Beatrice. The dog
park is on the right as you start to leave town heading south towards Kansas.
(Thank you Greg Robertson)
Lincoln
- Holmes Lake Dog Run. A very large dog run.
There is a creek for the dogs to play in, and wide, open fields for them to
run in. I'm not sure of the exact size, but it's HUGE. It also has picnic
tables for owners to sit and talk, and several poop bins, etc. The area is
wonderful with lots of trees and such. A great place. Location: South 70th
Street, across from Holmes lake (In between Pioneers and Van Dorn). (Thank you Jennifer Hendren
& Jeff Totten)
