Akron Dog
Park. Very Nice Off-Leash Dog Park.
This is an excellent park. The park is a large fenced-in area
with a 2-gate entry system to control runaways and "Hairy Houdinies." The
land is owned by the City of Akron, but is operated by BARC (Better Akron
Recreation for Canines). BARC's website is
http://akrondogpark.org/. The website is very
informative, and I suggest that you check it out before visiting the park
(especially the section on rules.) I use this park often, and I meet some of
the nicest people. My only complaint is that not everyone follows the rule
of cleaning up after their own dog. I know I do. Please come and visit, but
make sure that you and your pooch only leave footprints/paw prints and
nothing "else".Location: 499 Memorial Parkway.
