Oregon

Aloha/ Beaverton

  • Hazeldale Park. Fenced off leash area for dogs; 4 separate areas- One for little dogs. One for big dogs. One for MIXED sized dogs. One for special events, dog parties, available for rent. It has water, bags, garbage cans, picnic tables, bulletin board of current events. It is the best dog park on the west side. It is a huge fenced in area with plenty of trees and water for the dogs as well as waste disposal area. It has wood chips instead of dirt which is nice so there is no dust flying around. Location: off Farmington and 192nd. You can see the park from Farmington Road. Directions: take farmington to 192nd and turn on 192nd. go down a couple small streets and turn left and the dog park is right in front of you. You can see the park from Farmington. Ashland

  • Ashland Dog Park. “The Dog Park is a two acre fenced in area where dogs can run off leash and socialize with other dogs. Park hours are from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, throughout the year. Water and scoopers are available on site. The Dog Park is located just off West Nevada Street behind the Ashland Greenhouse and Nursery.” Directions: Directions: from downtown Ashland go North on Oak Street for several blocks until it intersects Nevada, then turn West on Nevada for about two blocks. After passing the Greenhouse, take the small road North about a block to the park. (Thank you Warren Hedges)

Bend

  • Big Sky Dog Park. About 3 fenced acres, double gated, grass, trees and high desert area; picnic tables; water in summer; poop bags; garbage barrels. Location: 21690 Neff Rd. Directions: East of Bend on Neff Road, just past Hamby Road. OLA is the back corner. Directional signs show the way. (Thank you)

Brandon

  • Bandon Dog Park. Fenced grassy area near beach with water, picnic table, and scoop bags.Pleasant regulars welcome happy dogs. Location: 11th street, Bandon, Oregon 97411. Directions: Turn west off HWY 101 at 11th street, go half mile to the city park which has a circular "loop" back to the dog park -- if you hit the ocean, you have gone to far! Clackamas

  • Mary S. Young Park. Location: Off of Hwy 43 in West Linn. Directions: Off of Hwy 43 in West Linn. Drive all the way to the back of the park and you'll see the off leash area. (Thank you K. Winscott)

Corvallis

  • Bald Hill Park. Corvallis, OR.  Location: Oak Creek Dr. (Thank you Jill Hill)

  • Chip Ross Park. Location: west end of Lester Ave. which is off of Highland Dr. (Thank you Jill Hill)

  • Crystal Lake Sports Fields. Dogs are allowed off-leash in the non-improved turf areas from March to November and everywhere except the parking area and the boat ramp the rest of the year. Location: off of Crystal Lake Dr. (Thank you Jill Hill)

  • Walnut Park. The off-leash area in the the southwest corner of the park.  (Thank you Jill Hill)

  • Willamette Park. Location: SE Corvallis, off from Highway 99-W on SE Goodnight Avenue. (Thank you Jill Hill)

  • Woodland Meadow Park. Location: Circle and Witham Hill Drive. (Thank you Jill Hill)

Eugene

  • Alton Baker Off Leash Dog Park. The new four acre park features gathering places with intersecting walking trails, a wash down station, benches, rest stops, and a pasture rotation system in which half of the off-leash area can be closed to allow the grass to regenerate faster. Volunteers worked hard to help make this vision a reality and have continued to support and care for their park. Location: Leo Harris, Eugene, OR 97401. Directions: If you are on Franklin Blvd, you take the overpass to get onto Coburg Rd. You go over Ferry Street Bridge and stay in the right lane. Take a slight right towards Autzen Stadium. Keep going down Martin Luther King Blvd/Centennial. Turn on the road right before Autzen Stadium. Go down the road and you will see the dog park on your right. Keep going a little farther and there is a huge gravel parking lot. Turn in there (on your right) and park. Take the sidewalk to the park entrance. (Thank you Lani-lee)
  • Amazon Dog Park. Small and utterly lacking in ambience but totally usable! Poop bags, kiddie pools and water available. Location: Corner of East 29th Ave. and Amazon Parkway. (Thank you Leeann Bennett)
  • Armetage Park. Fenced in area with picnic tables, poop bags, pools, & water buckets. Location: Coburg Rd. Directions: Take Coburg Rd. going towards the town of Coburg. Turn Left into State Park (Armetage Park). (Thank you DeeDee Gerber)
  • Wayne Morse Rance. Big dog park fenced in with fresh water access, poop bags, pools. Location: On Crest Blvd. Directions: South on Willamette, right on Crest about a mile up the road. (Thank you Charlotte Winter)

Hillsboro

Lake Oswego

  • Lake Oswego OR Temporary Dog Park. Temporary Dog Park. The three-acre park is adjacent to the turnaround at Atherton and Stafford roads. It is across the street from the Luscher Farm property, which the city is preparing for two artificial turf fields. That new development will also include two dog parks. Location: Stafford and Atherton Streets. Directions: From Highway 43 in Lake Oswego, turn west on McVey and go up the hill. There is a V in the road, and you turn left on Stafford and continue to the rotary (turnaround). The dog park is an immediate right turn off the rotary. (Thank you Nancy Westrell)

Medway

  • City of Medway Park.  Not an official dog park. 2 acres fenced, water, shaded table. County: Jackson. Location: Corner of Highland and Barnett just off interstate and adjacent to pathway which runs thru city. Also near a 27,000 skateboard park and concert stage used mostly in the summer. Milwaukie

  • North Clackamas Park. Big park with lots of space and a large dog run area with lots of regulars. Location: Off of Rusk Rd and Hwy 224. Directions: Take Hwy 224 (Milwaukie Expressway) to Rusk Rd. Turn onto Rusk Rd (the side with the big church) and follow road for 1/4 mile (just past the church). Turn right and follow this road all the way back to the Milwaukie Senior Center and the park's parking lot. Dog run area has water and bowls, and often visitors bring plastic bags for everyone to scoop with. Lots of regulars. Good place for dogs! (Thank you Heather Andrew & Randy Barker)

Oregon State Park

  • Champoeg State Park. Oregon State Park. $3 Park fee,- only $25 for a year pass (in 2005). Large field with a little creek. On the trail system you have to put your dog on a leash. Location: 9 Miles from Aurora towards Newberg. (Thank you Carmen Hux)

Portland

  • Brentwood Park. Fenced in Dog Park. Location: SE 62nd Ave. between Flavel St. and Duke St. (Thank You Keith Jones)
  • Chimney Park. Off leash dog park that is seperated into 2 areas. The park is 5-6 acres big. The park has many trees and is grassy with some mud during the rainy season. Many different types of dogs go to this park, from smaller dogs to larger dogs. The people are very friendly, and the dogs always seem to get along! The park is completely fenced, with many entrances and exits. There is a path that is layered with bark dust that loops the entire park which most use to exercise themselves and their dogs! There is one picnic table, and garbage cans for disposal of trash/waste. There is plenty of parking. Location: Columbia Blvd going W past Portland St. Directions: From I-5 N, take the Columbia Blvd exit (the exit after Lombard). Take a Right at the light onto Columbia Blvd. Follow Columbia Blvd for a good 5-7 miles. The park is on the L hand side of Columbia Blvd. There is a small sign stating that there is a park, however you will see the large fenced area first. On the Right side of the street there is a wrecking yard. Take the first L after the field and wrecking yard. Follow the narrow road to the top of the hill, there will be plenty of parking.   • Delta Park. This is a large lease-free area designated by the city of Portland. The field directly across from the entrance to the Portland International Raceway.

    Adjacent to the Vanport Wildlife viewing area. Location: North Broadacre Road. Directions: Take I-5 to the Portland International Raceway exit. This is one mile south of the Washington State line on I-5. (Thank you Michael Fousie)

  • East and West Delta Park. Fenced in Dog Parks. Location: Both the East and West sides of Delta Park off of I-5. Directions: Take I-5 just before Washington you'll see the Delta Park Exit. Then look on both sides of Park. (Thank You Keith Jones)
  • Gaberial Park. Has a fenced in dog park. Off of 45th in SW Portland.  Get to it from Multnomah Blvd. (Thank you Sonja L Barrington)
  • Mt. Tabor.

  • Normandale Park. Huge Fenced in Off-Leash. No lights. Location: NE 57th and Halsey behind baseball field. Directions: Just east of I-84 NE 39th exit on Halsey. (Thank you Jennifer Woodall)
  • Portland Dog Park. 1000 Acre off-leash dog park. If in Portland, don't miss 1000 Acre Park.  It's really in Troutdale, but worth the drive. 1000 acres at the delta of the Sandy and Columbia Rivers.  Restrooms, gravel paths, unpaved paths, trails, wide open spaces, grassy lands, trees, the river banks - wonderful freedom for your dog.  Location: 1000 Acre Park. Directions: Take I-5 to 84 east.  Exit at Lewis and Clark State Park.  Turn RIGHT under freeway overpass, and circle back around toward freeway again.  Entrance to large park in on the left.  Plenty of parking.  Plenty of people and dogs.  Very tranquil. Roseburg

  • Happy Tails Dog Park. Fenced Park. Happy Tails Dog Park is an off leashed park where dogs can run free located on the Umpqua River. Facilities include a restroom, a boat launch and picnic area. Location: SE Templin. Directions: Interstate 5 exit 124 Roseburg City Center on W. Harvard Blvd. toward downtown turn right on SE Pine St. turn right on MOSHER, left on Fullerton, THEN go right on Templin. (Thank you Ed Johnson & Bettina Wolochuk)

Salem

  • Minto Island. Unfenced area for socializing. Disposal bags, required leash on trails, one area is tall weeds, the other is mowed grass, trees and a few picnic tables. No public facilities other than in main park. Directions: South River Road, turn north onto Minto Island Rd. (Thank you Linda Cockrell)

  • Orchard Heights Dog Park.  West Salem off leash park. Location: 1165 Orchard Heights Rd NW. (Thank you Lara Downing)

Tigard

  • Potso Dog Park. Potso dog park is large and well-maintained, with a water station, poop bags, garbage cans, and three sheltered picnic tables for shade. It's completely fenced and has a barkdusk path around the perimeter perfect for walking. There is a fully fenced-off area for small dogs and well as the large area for the bigger dogs. Park is open weekdays 4:30 to dusk and dawn to dusk on weekends. Location: 7930 SW Hunziker, behind the Coe Manufacturing building. Directions: The park is located behind the Coe Manufacturing building at 7930 SW Hunziker. From Highway 217 SB, take the 72nd Avenue exit and make a right turn onto 72nd. Make the first left onto SW Hunziker. After a 1/4 mile, turn left onto Wall Street. The park is located on the right. Parking is ample but park in spots with painted paw prints on them.   • Summer Lake Dog Park. Fenced in area with large trees for shade, benches for owners, fresh water available, and cleanup supplies for the dogs. Location: Off of Winter Lake St. adjacent to Summer Lake Park. Directions: It is in the neighborhood north of Walnut and South of Scholls Ferry. There are signs for the park on those main streets. Wilsonville

  • Memorial Park. Fenced in park with poop bags. Location: Memorial Drive off of Wilsonville Rd. (Thank you Allison Hunt)

     

 

 

 

 

 

Dog Fun Etiquette
  1. Make sure to bring something (like a pooper scooper or bags) to pick up the mess your dog(s) make. Always clean up after your dog.
  2. Bring some water for your dog and a leash (just in case)
  3. Don't bring your dog if it is aggressive
  4. Don't let your pet wander too far. Always keep an eye on them.
  5. If the park is near a residential area, minimize the barking.
