away at 3900 Beltway Drive and can be accessed via a pedestrian park trail.

Red Bud Isle.
An off lead dog park on a peninsula into Town Lake. There is a people trail
that is approximately 1/2 mile long with multiple safe places for dogs to swim
or retrieve. There are often folks fishing or launching kayaks here also and
the dog people and the sports people try to be considerate of each other's
varied uses of the park. Really a beautiful place. Wooded peninsula with lake
on 3 sides; bags. Location: 3401 Red Bud Trail Unit Cr. Directions: Take the
Lake Austin Blvd exit off of Mopac and turn West. Follow to second traffic
light which is Red Bud. There is a golf course on the right as a landmark.
Turn Left onto Red Bud and watch for entrance on left to park just after

Riverside Park. Fenced, small parking area,
bulletin board, pick-up bags, water is available from park users who bring
water in gallon containers. Other off leash areas are available however they
are not fenced. Location: I-35 & Riverside.

Location: On Edith St. in Bellaire, TX. Across the street from Bellaire Public
Works center and Bellaire Recycling center. Directions: Exit 59 at Newcastle.

Lick Creek Park. 500 +
acres of undeveloped park. Beautiful, natural park. Dogs are required to be
under voice control. Watch for water moccasins in the far back part of the park.
Location: 13600 Rock Prairie Road. Directions: Take Highway 6 south out of
College Station. Exit Greens Prairie, turn left. Turn Right on Rock Prairie.

Steeplechase Park.
Fenced in area, bags provided to pick up after your dog. Location: North side of
Westridge Dr, in the Steeplechase Subdivision. Directions: from Harvey Mitchell,
go south on welsh and right on the first road past the church (west ridge dr.)

- Deep Elem Dog Park. Has benches, bathrooms
near by, water for the dogs, trash cans and baggies for the dogs, and has a

Lake on East Mockingbird Lane.

Unleashed Indoor Dog Park. Indoor private
dog park. Daycare and grooming available. Lounge, cafe and outdoor area to
open mid summer. Supply shop with gifts, food, treats, toys and more on
premises. Location: 5151 Samuell Blvd. Directions: Unleashed Indoor Dog
Parks is located just four minutes from downtown Dallas at 5151 Samuell
Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. From I-30 East, exit Ferguson. Turn right at light

One acre fenced play area. Run by the City of
Dallas parks dept. Fenced area for dogs to get to lake. Great for
water/retriever dog to get some swimming. Double gated entry, fenced,

shade in large dog area, parking lot, lights, benches, restrooms. Location:

Fort Worth Dog Park.
Directions: At Gateway Park, which is north of Interstate 30 between Beach
Street and Oakland Boulevard, east of downtown. From I-30, exit Beach Street
(just east of downtown Fort Worth), head north on Beach Street for
approximately a quarter of a mile, and turn east (right) at the Gateway Park
sign. Then proceed another quarter of a mile; Fort Woof Dog Park will be on

Off-Leash dog park in Georgetown TX. Six (6) acres in an old pecan grove.
Large dog/small dog fenced areas are 5 / 1 acres respectively. Water, shade,

Bill Archer Park Dog Park. 17
acres of trails, ponds, and play equipment for both big and small dogs
sections. Built by Precinct 3 of Harris County as part of a 926 acre human
park named for retired US Rep Bill Archer, there is also a 4,000 feet granite
walking trail, benches and shaded areas. Location: 3201 State Hwy 6 North.
Directions: From I-10 take exit 753A for Tx 6 North to Groeschke Rd. Park is

Jackson Family Bark Park. 2nd Harris County (pct.3) dog park. 2nd dog park
developed by Pct.3 (Harris County). The facility is huge, there's tons of
parking, and the park even has fake fire hydrants. Location: On Westpark Drive

Ervan Chew Dog Park. Double
gated & fenced, pick up bags, water fountain, benches around large trees.
Small pocket park within a small neighborhood park that has a nice kids
playground too. No children under 12 Allowed.
Location: inside loop 610, 4502 Dunlavy. This park is East of
Shephard and South of Richmond off the Southwest Freeway (Hwy 59) .

Levy Park Dog Park. Amenities: Some shade, lots of parking, dog water
fountain. Location: 3801 Eastside. Directions: 1 block South of Richmond

- Maxey Bark and Run Dog Park.
A large dog park with a human park next door, triple gated & fenced, pick up
bags, large and small dog areas, water fountains, doggie cool off shower,
large shade trees, benches, information kiosk, porta potty, small parking lot.
Open Dawn to Dusk. Location: 601 Maxey Road in the East side of Houston,
Texas. Directions: East Houston, 601 Maxey Road, next to the Metro Park and
Ride. Exit I-10 East, go north on Federal Road, which turns into Maxey Road
and it is on the right.

- Millie Bush Bark Park. The park was the
first of its kind in HARRIS COUNTY, it is a County operated facility.
Thirteen acres. Double gated & fenced, pick up bags, large and small dog
areas (with large and small fire hydrants in them!) -doggie swimming ponds,
water fountains, doggie showers, shade areas, benches, scattered trees,
walking path, parking lot. Picnic benches outside park. Restrooms close by
but not in the dog park. Open 7 days a week dawn to dusk. Location: Within George Bush Park, 16756 Westheimer Parkway.

Huntsville
- Pine View Park. Small Park and Dog Park. For
Huntsville it's great. If you are one of the many who live in apartments and
would love to take your dog to run loose it's great. It's a little small, but
it's enclosed and the dogs can run loose. There's benches and water fountains
for dogs and humans. Location: 2335 23rd Street. (It's down at the very end of

City of Huntsville Dog Park. Tall
Fence, Huge Yard, Lots of room. This dog park was built in 2007. It has 10'
fences and a LOT of room to run. Beside the dog park is also a playground
for kids. On the other side of the park there are a few trails that are
perfect for letting your dog explore. There is a creek that runs parallel to
the main trail which is a great spot to let your dog cool off. Location:
10th Street. Directions: From 11th street (HWY30/190) go north to 10th
street. Its behind First National Bank and the new Aquatic Center. (Thank

Katy
- Katy Dog Park. It’s 14 acres with lots of
shade trees and grass. There is a large paved walking trail. There are
currently two water fountains (both for dogs and people). They are working on
a swimming pond, and will add benches and a washing area soon as well as
agility equipment. Location: In the area of 5414 Franz Road. Directions: From
I-10 W, take the Katy Mills Mall exit and turn RIGHT. Turn LEFT on Franz Rd.
It’s on the RIGHT. It shares the parking lot with the Katy Library and is next
to the police station and backs up to Mary Jo Peckham Park. (Thank you Polly

Marshall
- The Pet Place. Humane Society of Harrison
County. Travelers may use our exercise park during regular hours: Monday -
Friday 10 am to 5 pm unless some special activity is occurring. Proof of
vaccinations required. Location: 1901 Jefferson Ave. Directions: One block

Midland

Hogan's Run Dog Park. The City of Midland's only off leash dog park. The
park has 5 fenced acres that are divided into a large dog area(over 30 lbs)
and a small dog area. The large dog area is 3.5 acres and the small dog area
is 1.5 acres. Each area has benches and shade structures as well as watering
stations and trees. There are restrooms and an adjacent facility with outdoor
grills and covered eating areas. Owners must be in the area with their dogs.
No children under 8 are allowed and children between 8 and 16 must be
accompanied by an adult. Their are doggy potty bags and disposal stations.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Owners can be asked
to leave for not following the posted rules. Open from sunrise to sunset.
Location: 1201 E. Wadley. Directions: From I-20 take the Fairgrounds Rd. exit.
Go north about 3.5 miles to Wadley. Turn left and go about 3/4 of a mile and

North Richland Hills
- Tipps Canine
Hollow. Off-leash dog park. Location: 7804 Davis Blvd. Directions:
Call the North Richland Hills Parks and Recreation Department at 817-427-6600.
Hours are 8am to dusk daily. The park includes a 2-acre fenced area for large

Pearland

The Pearland
Dog Park. Well-sized
dog park takes up the south end of a community park that has picnic tables and
playgrounds. Double gate added 5/2006. It's amenities include: colorful,
sturdy agility equipment designed more for building confidence or just having
fun, rather than for competition. Also benches, and a shade canopy. Restrooms
and parking are provided in the general area of the park. This dog park does
not supply pickup bags or water at this time so you will need to provide both.
Location: off 288 in Pearland just south of beltway 8. Pass Mchard, then make
a Uturn at the next rd.

City of Plano Parks
and Recreation Dog Park. Double-gated, fenced, 2-acre area. Located at
Bluebonnet Trail near its intersection with the Chisholm Trail in central
Plano. Directions: Parking is available along Pleasant Valley Drive north of
Spring Creek Parkway providing the shortest route and most convenient parking
for the site. Off-street parking is also available at Jack Carter Park, just a
few yards north on Pleasant Valley Drive. The Parks and Recreation Department
encourages parking in these two areas. The area has benches, picnic tables,
water stations for humans and animals, and waste pickup/disposal stations.

Dog Park - Jack Carter Park. Location: 6500 Roundrock Trail, Plano TX,
75023. Directions: The dog park is a double-gated, fenced, 2-acre area along
Bluebonnet Trail near its intersection with the Chisholm Trail in central
Plano. The area has benches, picnic tables, water stations for humans and
animals, and waste pickup/disposal stations. Please access the park from the
parking lot directly west of the area. You will find the parking lot by
traveling one half-block north on Pleasant Valley Drive from its intersection
with Spring Creek Parkway, west of Custer Road. The address is 6199 Pleasant
Valley Dr. For more Dog Park Information, See Our Dog Park Web Page. For
recorded information, including weather closings and regular maintenance, you
may call our information line, 972-941-BARK. The dog park is closed the first
and third Tuesdays of each month for maintenance. The dog park will also be
closed during inclement weather to protect the turf. Animals must wear current
registration and rabies vaccination tags at all times. The City of Plano
Animal Services Department will be monitoring the park for proper registration
and vaccinations. For information on City of Plano licensing procedures and

- McAllister Park. 1 1/2 acre leash-free dog park,
dog water fountain, basic agility course, short loop trail, NO RESTROOMS at
the moment. Location: Starcrest & Buckhorn (park's internal name for road).
Directions: Take southern (sports complex, on airport side) entrance, drive
1 mile, on left-hand side park at first parking lot, walk 300 yards along
gravel trail (not visable from parking lot but you will see it 100 yards

San Antonio's Leash-free dog park. Location: 4700 Old Pearsall Rd.
San Marcos
- San Marcos Community Dog Park. Area for large and an
area for small dog dogs. Location: Hopkins behind the San Marcos Public
Library. Directions: Straight up Hopkins, turn into the Library parking lot

The Woodlands
- Bear Branch Dog
Park. No children under 9 allowed. 2+ very shady
acres, separated into a large dog section and a small dog section(25lbs and
under). There is a "water play station" available in both areas, many
benches and of course, dog waste bags and waste containers- and it is double
gated. Location: 5200 Research Forest Drive. On the NORTH
side of Research Forest Drive, west of I-45 and west of Shadowbend.

Cattail Park. The
Woodlands Dog Park/Cattail Park.
The Woodlands
Associations. This is a wonderful park for a picnic and
has a great playground for the kids. The dog park area is fenced, has a
water hose for the dogs, and shaded seating area. Cattail Park is home to The Woodland's
first dog park; it is located at 9323 Cochran's Crossing Drive and is open
daily from dawn to dusk. Small dog time is each morning from 9:30 - 10:30.
Location: 9323 Cochran's Crossing Drive. Directions: Cattail Park is on the
west side of Cochrans Crossing Drive, just north of the entrance to The
